According to the website of the Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamadani's office, the esteemed Shia authority met this morning with the special envoy of the President of Togo. He stated that the brilliant Islamic civilization originated from constructive interaction and communication among Muslims and other divine religions. He added, "The Holy Quran emphasizes that all are brothers, and that, in light of current developments in the world, they should be united and stand firm against their enemies. This is the logic and culture of Islam, and we must all follow this path."
He further referred to the Quranic verse "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves", describing the beginning of the great Islamic civilization as resulting from constructive interaction with other nations. He noted, "The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) wrote to 26 major states of his time, inviting them all to unity and cooperation. Today, Muslims and free nations must also take steps towards development and progress under the umbrella of unity and solidarity."
The Shia religious authority emphasized the importance of awareness and vigilance against the plots of enemies and colonizers, stating: "The growing connection between nations and Muslims is extremely beneficial. In this regard, we urge all nations to engage with each other more than ever before, and identify the enemies and contemporary movements, so that we may witness the unity and solidarity that Islam emphasizes."
