These days we are unfortunately hearing sad news from Kashmir of India. The silence of the international organizations and the claimants of human rights against such treatments is regrettable. The Indian government has taken action to besiege the Kashmir valley and cut off all means of communication. It has banned any public gathering and even Friday and congregational prayers and, in the event of any gathering, it responds with bullets. The oppressed people of Kashmir do not even have food security and basic necessities. Pictures and reports coming out from there cannot be seen due their gruesomeness; all this is inhumane behavior.
All free people, especially the Islamic Ummah, statesmen, scholars, and human rights institutions must all take serious action on this matter. If they remain silent, Kashmir will enter a more dangerous and unfortunate stage. It is, therefore, necessary upon every free people of the world, regardless of their color, skin, race, religion, especially the Islamic Ummah and Islamic governments, not to remain silent against this great insult and inhumane aggression.
The Indian authorities also should know that this cruel treatment will only result in instability and further distancing of religions and their followers across India. It is necessary that they provide the ground for peaceful life for all Shiites, Sunnis and Hindus so that they may be able to live together like the past.
Condemning inhumane behavior, I call for an immediate end to the killings and military siege of Kashmir, and we emphasize on defending every oppressed human being wherever he/she may be in the world.
